Dvorkovich’s Policy in FIDE is Described as „I Twist and Turn and Deceive I Want“
CFR President commented on the FIDE President’s interview.
The policy and actions of FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich, which he is conducting in the organisation, can be described with a phrase: „I twist and turn and deceive I want“. President of the Russian Chess Federation Andrey Filatov shared this opinion while commenting on Mr. Dvorkovich’s interview.
„The policy and actions of FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich can be described with a phrase: „I twist and turn and deceive I want“. Two years ago, five countries brought up for vote the lifting of sanctions agains the CFR at the FIDE Congress in Chennai. At that time, Mr. Dvorkovich made everything to prevent this from happening, promising that he would entrust this issue to the FIDE Council – so that everything would be resolved as quickly as possible. However, up to this moment, the FIDE Council hasn’t reviewed the lifting of sanctions yet, and there is no positive dynamics in this direction. Moreover, we can see a reverse process as evidenced by the situation with the FIDE Ethics and Disciplinary Commission’s decision. Now the critical time has come, when Dvorkovich’s actions will make it clear what all his statements and promises are worth“, said Mr. Filatov.
